Orphanage

In January 2014 some weather-appropriate shoes were selected from the collections brought in from Meadow Sure Start Children’s Centre and Fairfield Halls and were distributed at an orphanage in Cambodia.

In April 2018, one of our trustees Laura, has been finding new feet for your pre-loved crocs in Cambodia 🇰🇭 and seeing in practice what Sal’s very first few pairs of outgrown shoes were the inspiration for 👣

Laura and Anjali have been finding new feet for your Sal’s Shoes at the Cambodia Care Centre which provides free, high quality education to disadvantaged children in one of the poorest slums of Phnom Penh. In addition to an education curriculum, the Centre provides vocational, medical and nutritional support to families to ensure that every opportunity is afforded to their children to encourage them to stay in school 📚

Toe to Toe 2018, our end of the academic year shoes collection, will be launched next month. Following the publication of the information pack in May, all schools wishing to participate will need to register by 18 June 2018. We have to ask for a minimum of a £1/pair donation going forwards and schools will need to store their hauls until we can accept delivery of one person manageable boxes at a SL3 postcode between 3-28 September 2018.

We can’t change the world but we can make a difference. If we all play a part we can make a much bigger difference much quicker 💫
